Halloween has been super fun for me since I was a kid & remains so today. Everyone’s happy…smiling… Kids are super pumped with costumes and the promise of tons of sweet loot. Parents are soaking up the kids’ excitement. It’s the one time of year my wife allows me to have way too many goodies in the house. Quality Control on Halloween is a job I take seriously. 🙂
One of my sons is adult & autistic. He’e essentially a college linebacker with about a 4 year old’s mentality & he enjoyed trick or treating up until about 2 years ago. He’s been bigger than me since he was 16, about 7 years ago. He still likes costumes, giving out candy to the kids &, of course, scary movies. In addition to a great haul of candy, he got a lot of stares & some bad vibes, even though he’s still a very young child at heart. I’m asking that you keep him in mind when a man or woman who’s clearly too big to be trick or treating comes to your door. There may be a story behind their excitement and eager smiling “Trick or Treat”. Here’s one of my favorite Halloween cartoons to enjoy.

Most of all, Have Fun yourself & Happy Halloween!!!
