I know this has nothing to do with Real Estate. Sorry, I’m a low budget astronomy hobbyist, so this stuff just inspires me. We just passed the anniversary of the moon landing. The moon was formed after a Mars-sized planet, named Theia, after the Greek goddess of the moon, slammed into the early earth, turning the entire planet into molten liquid. Bits and pieces of the crust of that planet and ours were blown into orbit and formed our way oversized moon.
Here we are, decades after the moon landing, contemplating more actual people walking on the moon in the next year or two, and beyond that, a landed moon base and an orbital moon base. That’s just the US. Multiple countries, together and singly, are reaching out and studying our next steps in space expiration. Very heady times. Exciting and hopeful times for the US and all of humanity.
There’s a cell phone app: Sky Map that I use to ID celestial bodies. It makes stargazing so easy. Just point your phone at what you’re looking at, to ID the star, planet, nebula, galaxy, whatever. There is so much to see in the sky, even without a telescope.
Have fun and look up once in a while.
