Realtor Ranked as #1 Most Desired Job
I’m a Realtor. I love it. It’s perfect for my life & my family. One thing I have to despise about being a Realtor? Real Estate Reality shows. They are not real. That is not what I do. It’s not what Realtors do. My wife loves them & loves teasing me as if that’s what my job looks like. In the decade and a half that I’ve been doing this job, I have never once:
1. Flown potential buyers out to a vacation hotspot to get their attention for my sellers. I have bought Dunkin Donuts for buyers.
2. Closed a deal in a nightclub. See Dunkin Comment above.
3. Delivered booze or catered a massive, $200-a-head affair for an open house. I usually bring a box of Joe & munchkins to open houses. Are you seeing a theme here?
4. Had to deal with the drama of an interdating office where everyone looked like a soap opera star. Sorry, no Dunkin reference here. This one is just silly.
5. Get loaded & and then go sell Real Estate in a fancy restaurant. Again, for me, reference Dunkin.
The list goes on. The article link is: https://chicagoagentmagazine.com/2024/10/02/realtor-most-desirable-job/?
It mentions that Realtor is the most searched job on Google & that only 6% of current Realtors are considering a change. That says a lot about the industry & the job. There’s a pretty fascinating list of the top 10 most searched jobs there & their median salaries too. With unemployment so low & so many training opportunities available, now is a great time to imagine next steps in life, unless you’re already working in a place that’s the best fit for you & virtually requires that you’re constantly equipped with fresh coffee. If you’re interested in becoming a Realtor, let’s get us a cup of coffee & I’ll give you the real story.
Have fun!
