Cost vs. Benefit, I think Smart Home technology carries great bang for your home seller buck. Yes, indeed, most people feel Smart Home Tech can be a little creepy. Terminator fans know Skynet is out there. 🙂
Anyway, Creepy or not, most buyers are willing to pay more for a house equipped with cool gadgets that make daily living easier, like video doorbells, smart thermostats, ovens, fridges, etc. Having a Google Nest(my favorite) or Alexa be able to tap into your favorite TV shows, thermostat or music playlist or start the roast cooking in your oven is very enticing to buyers, especially on a voice command…while you’re at work.Â
