Brockton Fairgrounds Re-Purposed

Brockton Fairgrounds Re-Purposed

Next year, work could start on the new and improved land where the Brockton Fairgrounds used to be. According to the plans, a 1705 unit residential project will kick things off, followed by a little bit of commercial space, some light industrial structures and a 3 acre park.

Back in 2015, the the long-time owners tried to build a casino there, but couldn’t get approved by the MA Gaming commission. A proposed horse track similarly fell through. It’s had a few years of lying idle, but looks like this plan should go through, with city council and other political & regulatory support for the project being publicly proclaimed.

Have Fun!
