Easter is a special Holiday for me. The Friday before, I think of a Man higher than a president, higher than a king, coming down to earth, making himself human, vulnerable, just like us, so that he could use his own Body as a truly costly sacrifice to save our eternal souls. That’s pretty special & wows me every time it crosses my mind.
The following Sunday, just three days later, The same Guy, God made man, came back from the dead. Well… He’s God, so no big whoop, right? The thing is: He brought the same promise of Resurrection for all humanity with Him. Much like every Memorial Day, Every Easter Sunday, I think of absent friends and family, my parents, my brother in law, Sean, my sister’s mother in law, and, yes, all my dogs, most especially, all of my friends and family that have moved on to better things. I will see you all again. That is huge, recurring comfort. That is belief. That is what makes Easter Special & brings a wonderful sense of Grace & Peace to me.
Regardless of where my obvious beliefs lie or whether or not you believe the same thing I do… I wish that same sense of Grace & Peace to you all. Have a wonderful Easter!
