I once received a Mother’s Day card from some guys I supervised at a previous job. The message read: “To a guy who’s always a real mother…” It’s the little things in life we have to treasure.
I laughed myself silly when I read it and still appreciate the humor decades later.
A mother’s love is one of the few examples in life of unconditional love in this life. I see it in every mother I encounter regularly. My wife, my sister, my mother in law, my mom and so on. I see it in my job as a Realtor with nearly every family I get to know. My mom passed from Covid19 in 2021. Not a day goes by without thinking of her. Take the time to appreciate your moms, because they won’t be there forever. You most definitely don’t want to think you left anything on the table with her, so get to appreciating while she’s around.
Mom’s can be a lot of things: exasperating, stubborn, invasive. Also, inspiring, determined, deeply interested in their children’s’ lives. Those traits are literally two sides of the same coin and come from the same place: All Encompassing Love, Faith & a Driving Dedication.
I love spending time with the moms in my life. Their joy in their kids’ lives, round the clock devotion to them is inspiring and lightens my own burdens to witness it. A nice brunch isn’t too shabby either.
I wish you and your moms a happy, healthy Mother’s Day. Have Fun!
