The Federal Executive & Legislative Branches are discussing adding time limits & work requirements to all rental voucher recipients, even elderly, those with family care responsibilities, disabled, etc.
The Center on Budget & Policy Priorities(CBPP), an advocacy group on policy that describes itself as non-partisan, released an article with lots more detailed info & analysis:
According to the article, In Massachusetts alone, this would result in 115K people experiencing homelessness(51,100 of them kids). The often heated debate on work requirements & time limits on rental assistance has been discussed almost constantly, under the radar, for decades, with a constant stream of varying ideas & potential outcomes predicted. No one has decided to touch that third rail of politics even now, but the discussion & proposals are out there in the public eye now.
Have fun & Stay Aware.
